Chiropractic Care

What is Chiropractic Treatment?

Chiropractic care is a form of healthcare that emphasises the body’s natural ability to heal itself, with a particular focus on the spine, joints, and nervous system. Our Chiropractor is trained to assess how misalignments or restrictions in the musculoskeletal system can contribute to pain, reduced mobility, and other health concerns. Through hands-on techniques, they work to restore proper movement, reduce nerve irritation, and improve overall function. Our Chiropractor also incorporate complementary approaches and massage, to support long-term health.

Chiropractic treatment involves safe, often gentle, specific spinal manipulation to free joints in the spine or other areas of the body that are not moving properly. Apart from manipulation, chiropractors may use a variety of other techniques to treat various conditions.People often seek chiropractic care for specific issues, but many also use it as part of a preventive or wellness-oriented routine.

Chiropractic care has become a popular option for those seeking a non-invasive, drug-free approach to managing pain and maintaining physical health.

Whether you’re seeking relief from pain, improved mobility or simply a healthier lifestyle, we’re here to support your journey every step of the way to achieve your version of optimal health.

Is chiropractic treatment safe?

Yes. Chiropractic adjustments are safe when performed by a registered Chiropractor. Your Chiropractor will fully explain the process and treatment being undertaken and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Does chiropractic treatment hurt?

No. Adjustments are gentle and not painful. You might hear a “popping” sound, which is simply gas releasing from the joint. This is similar to cracking your knuckles.

How many sessions will I need?

Every patient is different. Some feel better after just a few visits, while others benefit from ongoing care. Your chiropractor will recommend a personalised plan based on your individual needs and goals.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No referral is needed. Chiropractors are primary healthcare providers, so you can book directly.

Does medical insurance cover chiropractic care?

Many insurance companies cover chiropractic treatment. Please check directly with your provider before you begin treatment.

Is chiropractic care safe for children, elderly or pregnant women?

Yes. Chiropractors are trained to use techniques for all ages and life stages, including children, expectant mothers, and older adults.

Can it prevent future problems?

Chiropractic care can improve posture, flexibility, and balance, helping reduce your risk of future pain or injuries. Many patients continue with care for overall wellness.

Do chiropractors prescribe medicine?

No. Chiropractic care is natural and drug-free. Instead, we focus on adjustments, manipulation, exercises, and lifestyle support.

What should I wear to the appointment?

Comfortable, flexible clothing works best. Nothing too tight or restrictive.

Do chiropractors only adjust the spine?

No. Chiropractors can also adjust other joints such as shoulders, hips, knees, wrists, and ankles to restore mobility and function.

Will I need x-rays before starting treatment?

Not always. X-rays are only recommended if your chiropractor suspects a condition that needs further evaluation, such as a fracture, arthritis, or disc issue.
