What are fat dissolving injections?
Fat dissolving injections—also called intralipotherapy—use deoxycholic-acid–based formulas to reduce small, stubborn pockets of fat on the face and body.
We use next-generation products from official UK distributors: Celluform / Celluform+, DesoFace / DesoBody.
Deoxycholic acid is a bile-acid derivative that disrupts fat cell membranes; the body then clears the released lipids, leading to a visible reduction in the treated area. Once destroyed, those fat cells can no longer store fat.
Treatments are mapped to your goals and anatomy and work well for the submental area (double chin/jowls) and selected body zones when diet and training aren’t enough.
A short course is usually needed, with spacing guided by area and response. This is a medical procedure performed by trained clinicians after consultation. Suitability, dose and session count vary by individual
How do they work and is it permanent?
Tiny amounts of a deoxycholic-acid solution are placed directly into subcutaneous fat using intralipotherapy technique. The agent disrupts adipocyte membranes (cytolysis), emulsifying the fat so your body can process it via normal metabolic pathways.
Only a portion of fat cells are in the ideal position at each visit, so to minimise side-effects treatments are staged.
Expect temporary swelling, warmth and tenderness as the area responds; improvements evolve over several weeks. For submental fat, careful depth control avoids superficial placement and protects skin structures. Your plan covers aftercare and the ideal interval between sessions
Once the fat cells are dissolved; they are dissolved permanently and won't come back! That being said, obviously this means maintaining your weight with diet and exercise.
If following treatment your diet is poor, you will undoubtedly start to lay down these fat cells again.
