Profhilo & Seventy Hyal Skin Boosters
What are skin boosters?
Skin boosters are a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid, which rejuvenate the skin and improve hydration levels for a radiant, luminous-looking, glow, restoring a natural youthful complexion.
Injecting hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance found beneath the skin, that is responsible for retaining moisture, keeps the skin hydrated and helps to maintain good skin quality. It stimulates the skin cell receptors to counteract skin laxity and improve and restore firmness of the skin. Not only boosting and hydrating the skin, but also remodelling ageing and sagging tissue. An equally beneficial aspect of skin boosters is their ability to promote collagen and elastin production. This increases the skin’s tightness and reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles and fine lines.
What areas can be treated?
The most common areas of treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity.
What is the difference between skin boosters and Fillers?
Skin boosters and dermal fillers, whilst both containing hyaluronic acid (HA) as the main ingredient, are not interchangeable when it comes to offering skin ageing treatments; they behave in different ways. Skin boosters are not cross-linked so are usually much thinner in consistency and therefore, have a greater spread. Generally, skin boosters can be used to soften fine lines, hydrate, and improve the texture and condition of the skin. Dermal fillers on the other hand are generally used when volumisation, contouring, or augmentation is required in specific areas of the face such as cheeks or lips.
Who is the treatment suitable for?
The treatment is suitable for men and women as well as offering skin benefits for patients of all ages.
It has grown in popularity in recent years as it helps to feed and nourish the skin as well as encouraging it to heal itself from within.
Rather than applying creams and lotions which only reach so far, liquid injectable moisturiser reaches deep into the dermis, doesn’t paralyse muscles like Botox and does not produce excessive volume within the skin, as dermal fillers do.
Acne? Dry Skin? Oily Skin?
The good thing about these common skin conditions, and even some less common others, is that they can be addressed, either directly or indirectly, through the use of skin boosters.
What Age Is Best To Start Using Skin Boosters?
When considering choosing skin boosters to help resolve any perceived skin flaws, you may be uncertain as to whether they are the best treatment for you, or whether you may require a different type of procedure. Thankfully, you needn’t worry as skin boosters are ideal for helping to resolve the skin concerns of those across a vast range of age groups. We’ve gone into further detail below about how each age group can benefit from this treatment specifically.
Skin Boosters for Those in Their Twenties
There is often the misconception that skin boosters are exclusively intended for those in higher age brackets. This is not the case. Skin boosters can be an especially effective treatment for younger people. As a person in their twenties, skin boosters can help to maintain your youthful skin and keep it in its best condition. In this way, skin boosters for this age group are ideal as a preventative treatment, helping to ward off the first signs of ageing and helping the skin avoid dehydration.
Skin Boosters for Those in Their Thirties
Skin boosters make for the ideal treatment for people in their thirties looking to rejuvenate their skin. Around this age, the skin experiences a loss of collagen and reduced skin elasticity as HA is gradually lost. As subtle signs of ageing may begin to develop, skin boosters are the perfect solution for dealing with them. They help in restoring the production of collagen, helping to provide your skin with a youthful look and feel. As well as overall skin health, skin boosters can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines that may have developed.
Skin Boosters for Those in Their Forties and Above
Those aged forty and above will be highly satisfied with the restorative effects that skin boosters can provide. HA found within the body naturally will be lower than in some other age groups, so skin boosters can have a particularly significant effect in helping to restore it. With those experiencing deeper wrinkles and volume loss, skin boosters are especially effective in helping to reduce the appearance of these wrinkles and add a subtle volume and plumpness to the skin.

As a result, it’s a more effective treatment with greater hydration and moisture restoration capabilities. Whatever age group you fall into, it’s these qualities that make it the perfect solution to your skin problems.
Seventy Hyal can also be used under the eyes to help reduce eye bags and dark circles, as well as above the lip to reduce the appearance of smokers lines.
How does it work?
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, it stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement.
Skin boosters also have a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
Acting as a hydrator rather than a filler. It is injected just under the surface of the skin, where it disperses quickly (due to the lack of BDDE cross-linking agent) and reacts with your own tissues to instantly boost hydration. Over the following 4 weeks, phase 2 will boost collagen and elastin production within the dermis. This helps to give the skin a youthful, plump, smooth and firm appearance.
How many sessions will I need?
Works in a course of 2- 3 treatments, sometimes 4, 4 weeks apart.
Can I combine it with Botox and filler?
Yes, skin boosters can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other dermal fillers, laser treatments or Botox as part of a holistic approach to skin remodelling and revitalisation.
They work amazing alongside Botox, as the Botox is a prevention for fine lines and wrinkles and skin boosters help to hydrate, firm, tighten and refresh the skin to ease fine lines and wrinkles that may already be present.
Does it hurt?
As they are injected just under the skin using very fine needles in pre-determined points, it is relatively painless; you may feel a short sting or scratch, but this is short-lived. Patients can opt for topical pain relief or anaesthetic before treatment, but it is usually not needed.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime. However, it’s advisable to avoid alcohol, aspirin or anti-inflammatory medication in the 24 hours prior to the treatment. Vitamin C and Vitamin E can also increase the likelihood of bruising, but it is fine to use 48 hours after.
Immediately afterwards, it’s important to avoid wearing make-up and strenuous exercise such as going to the gym, swimming or extreme sports and hot steam rooms and saunas for at least 24 hours.
You will need to avoid excessive sunlight for 48 hours after and wear a high SPF sunscreen.
It’s important to know that if you expose your skin to the sun, this will only have a detrimental effect on your skin quality and hydration. Investing in good habits such as wearing SPF and a wide-brimmed hat when going into extreme sunlight, as well as having regular treatments such as Profhilo will help your skin hugely, in the long-run.
Are there any risks or side-effects?
There are no long-term side-effects with Profhilo as it is metabolised by the body completely. The risk of any allergic reaction is substantially reduced due to the lack of any synthetic chemicals such as BDDE.
Some people can experience some redness, slight bruising, tenderness and possible itching at the injection sites, but these will subside in a few hours to a day and is totally natural.
How long does it take to see results?
Results should begin to show instantly with optimal results showing after 2 weeks. How long do results last?
Results can last anything from 6 to 12 months, depending on your individual reaction and metabolism of the product, but we recommend patients to return for a single maintenance treatment, every 3 months. This keeps the skin in exceptional condition. These repetitions can help to gradually build up and maintain optimal hyaluronic acid levels in your skin.
For best results, combine your treatment with other hydration-boosting skincare products, such as a gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid serum, and a rich moisturiser. Following these simple steps ensures that your Seventy Hyal 2000 treatment provides long-lasting, optimal results – keeping your skin smooth, hydrated, and youthful.
